All projects include standard documentation including RAID, As-Is/To-Be, Visio diagrams, etc. and any client requirements such as weekly executive summaries/slides

  • Daily “standup” 15-minute calls are preferred with core project team to ensure progress and avoid drift
  • I often install prototypes or setup trials for group review to accelerate gap analysis and demo new technologies and methods where I see and advantage to productivity, schedule, project goals

Edwards Lifesciences Global Supply Chain PMO Irvine, CA

Project Request: originally a 3-month contract to manage a SPC application Pilot among 5 global teams repeatedly extended to 2 years.  Projects included:

  • Managing the Pilot and rollout for a Statistical Process Control application
  • Managing SCADA machine connectivity for seven (7) manufacturing plants, 260+ machines
  • Managing network extensions to 3 plants, accelerating SCADA goals by two (2) years
  • Miscellaneous supporting projects and assisted directors in vendor meetings with Q&A
  • Scope: California, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Singapore, Utah
  • Pilot and project completed and moved to local sustaining teams

Project Tracking

  • Created real-time PowerBI and DevOps Dashboards also embedded in SharePoint websites for enterprise visibility
  • Agile daily stand up approach with common O365 documentation repositories for issues, risks, contracts, etc.

Soar Detroit After School Reading Program Detroit, MI

Project Request: originally volunteered (via Catchfire) technology expertise to assist “Back to School” Reading program during 2020 school closures.  Goal: to bring all in-person operations online including tutor sessions, lesson creation and tracking:

  • Researched and demonstrated features of feasible options in line with NPO budget and goals
  • Assisted with selection and application customizations for 400+ students and mentors
  • Customizations included creating modules for lessons, attendance and background check automation
  • Database has grown from 3,000 to 11,000 student lessons with numerous report, automation, and other additions
  • Initial call July 7, 2020 and Go-Live was October 5, 2020

Taco Bell Back House Operations Irvine, CA

Project Request: National migration of back office OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10

  • Upgrade and migrate data for 5,200+ restaurant PC’s
  • Project plan accounted for weather patterns across the US, specifically states subject to tornados
  • Separate projects involving leased tablets, online email migration, and legal department inquiries
  • Project completed within budget, ahead of schedule and deadline for Exchange server upgrade

 Edwards Lifesciences IT PMO Irvine, CA

Project Request: Manage IT projects for outgoing PM, mainly in the APAC region

  • Projects involved installation of new labeling production lines, sourcing, and procurement
  • Managing projects for JDE applications, software, hardware, and process validation
  • Projects with team members in multiple areas including QA, RA, development, and GSC

Client: Lexmark/Kofax PMO Irvine, CA

Project Request: Identify systems, system owners, and contracts for divestiture to fulfill a requirement by the Department of Treasury (CFIUS) before the sale of the company to a foreign entity

  • Managed employee Gmail to Outlook migration via vendor
  • Assisted managers and directors with creating department project plans
  • Areas to be investigated included telco and network infrastructure, core and functional systems, facilities, and all contracts for US, EMEA, and Asia Pacific operations, offices, and customers
  • Project resulted in a new company of 3400+ employees

Hoag Hospital IT PMO Irvine, CA

 Project Request: Assist their NPO in finding an intake application for their community center

  • Interviewed internal users, external clinics, and other NPO’s for a baseline of experiences
  • Created and executed a RFP process to be distributed to various vendors
  • Walked the Hoag team through scoring and selecting a short list for in-person vendor demonstrations
  • Managed contract terms and first meetings for selected vendor
  • Project resulted in successful section of application software that met client goals
